CAT RUN (2011) Movie Trailer: John Stockwell, Paz Vega

Janet McTeer, Cat Run

The Cat Run Movie Trailer has premiered. John Stockwell‘s Cat Run (2011) stars Paz Vega, Christopher McDonald, Tony Curran, Scott Mechlowicz, and Karel Roden. Cat Run‘s plot synopsis: “Anthony always dreamed of being a famous chef. Julian only thought about women. With neither really working out, the childhood best friends decide to start a detective agency. Unfortunately for them, on their first case they must help protect a sexy, high class escort who holds the key evidence to a scandalous cover up. The two bumbling detectives soon find themselves running from the mob, a corrupt US Senator, and a ruthless Mary Poppins-like assassin – all of whom would stop at nothing to hide the truth. It’s just an average day for two bumbling losers.” This movie trailer is linear and gives away a few things I wish they had not (the death of a particular killer). “Escort” movies are growing in prominence this year with X being released as well. This film seems less serious than X and more along the lines of Lucky Number Slevin. What’s interesting is that the escort has the wits to grab the harddrive as a security blanket. Watch the Cat Run movie trailer below and leave your thoughts on it. Cat Run will be released in theaters in the US on April 1, 2011.
