Jakub Ignarski‘s Cinematic Retrospective 2014 features the films that made the greatest impression on him as well other noteworthy movies released during the 2014 calendar year as well. Ignarski makes special note of “Snowpiercer, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Enemy, Gone Girl, How to Train Your Dragon 2, The Lego Movie, Whiplash, Foxcather, Edge of Tomorrow[, and] Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar” as films available for the cinephile in movie theaters this year (Boyhood being his favorite). He does not favor superhero films but did enjoy Guardians of the Galaxy.
