Cloak & Dagger TV Show Trailer

Freeform‘s Cloak & Dagger (2018) TV show trailer stars Aubrey JosephOlivia Holt, Deric Augustine, Noëlle Renée Bercy, and Marqus Clae. Cloak & Dagger‘s plot synopsis: “Two teenagers from very different backgrounds find themselves burdened and awakened to newly acquired superpowers while falling in love.”

This show looks completely solid. Unfortunately, I thought the same thing about Iron Fist and we all know how that turned out.

What was noteworthy about this trailer is that it delves into the background of both of its lead characters.  Then they are brought together and the viewer sees a glimpse of their powers. When that happened, questions began such as: what are their powers, what is their shared past, etc.

The fact that these questions were generated in the viewer’s mind tells you that the producers of Cloak & Dagger have done something right. There is also a maturity in the content that the viewer will not be expecting i.e. real people dealing with real family and social issues.

On the people behind-the-scenes of Cloak & Dagger:

The series is co-produced by Marvel Television and ABC Signature Studios. Joe Pokaski (Underground, Heroes) will serve as showrunner and executive producer, Jeph Loeb (Marvel’s Luke Cage, Marvel’s Iron Fist), Marvel’s Head of Television and Jim Chory (Marvel’s Luke Cage, Marvel’s Iron Fist) will also serve as executive producers.

Gina Prince-Bythewood will be making directing the first episode of Cloak & Dagger.

Cloak & Dagger also stars Mitch Craft, Ainsley Reagan Dobbs, Mike Donovan, J.D. Evermore, Bryan Michael Hall, and Jim Klock.
