Constantine The Devil’s Vinyl Promo. NBC‘s Constantine: Season 1, Episode 3: The Devil’s Vinyl TV show trailer stars Matt RyanHarold Perrineau, Charles Halford, and Angelica CelayaImmediately after last night’s episode, NBC was kind enough to release a new promo for Constantine’s third episode, which airs next Friday. The end of the promo gave us a first look at one of John’s adversaries, Papa Midnite.

In the third episode titled “The Devil’s Vinyl”, a wife makes a deal with the Devil to save her husband’s life but as always, it comes with a price. That’s where John (Matt Ryan) and Zed (Angelica Celaya) come in as they try to save a woman and her family from dark forces beyond their control. The mission forces John to tackle the darkness in his own life while he must face a powerful adversary in the form of Papa Midnite (guest star Michael James Shaw).

Papa Midnite is a major character in the Hellblazer comics and one of John’s many foes. He is described in the comics as a vodun shaman and a businessman who has had a long life. John rips him off like the con artist he is, which makes Midnite angry and wants to get his revenge. There were times where John and Midnite have helped one another from time to time, but they are always at each other’s throats.

So it looks like John may have his hands full when he must get help from a foe like Papa Midnite. But who is to say that Papa Midnite created this mess in the first place? We will find out once the episode airs next Friday. Are you guys excited to see Papa Midnite’s first appearance on Constantine?
