Marvel Releases First Official Image of Daredevil. has recently released an official photo from Daredevil, Netflix’s anticipated original series. Fans can now check out star Charlie Cox as both Matt Murdock and as the Man Without Fear.

Fans have eagerly been waiting to see Boardwalk Empire’s Charlie Cox suit up as Daredevil and Marvel finally delivered with the first official image of him donning an earlier version of the suit from the show. The image gives us a reason to be excited because we get to see the early costume of Matt Murdock’s alter ego Daredevil. Based on the images we’ve seen, it looks like the show will go into the origins of the character before we see him in the traditional red costume.

It appears that the series will be taking its time before Matt officially becomes Daredevil according to these images. The black costume is obviously inspired by the Frank Miller and John Romita Jr.’s famous retelling of Daredevil’s origin, story, Man Without Fear. We hope to see more news during the upcoming months leading to the launch of the series on Netflix in 2015. So stay tuned everyone!

Marvel’s Daredevil follows Matt Murdock, a man blinded as a young boy but becomes gifted with extraordinary senses. As a lawyer, he fights injustice but takes the fight on crime at night as a superhero. Using his unique senses and skills in martial arts, Matt fights crime as the vigilante Daredevil at night in the streets of New York’s neighborhood Hell’s Kitchen.
