The Dark Tower Gets Trippy in it’s First Official Poster

We should be expecting the first trailer for The Dark Tower sometime this week, but while we wait, we do have this trippy poster to keep us excited. In the mind-bending poster, we see Idris Elba as Roland Deschain AKA the Gunslinger walking down Manhattan with Tom Taylor’s Jake Chambers.

Sony Pictures is already starting to market their next big film for the summer with the film adaptation of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower. This shows how confident the studio is in this film potentially becoming a blockbuster hit. Fans of the series will be happy to know that we don’t have to wait any longer for a trailer for this film when it comes out this week. Having the first poster come out is certainly a sign that we will be seeing footage from The Dark Tower pretty soon.

In the poster, we see Roland and Jake at the bottom, while the Man in Black (Matthew McConaughey) is joined by Sayre (Jackie Earle Haley) and another villain up top. If you think these characters were put in the poster on different sides on purpose, you may be right. That’s because if you look closely, you can see the Gunslinger and Jake are standing in front of a shape that outlines The Dark Tower. It’s really a cool strategy to use for people who are interested in seeing the movie.

Check out the official poster and let us know what you think.
