Deepwater Horizon Trailer 2

The second movie trailer for Deepwater Horizon (2016) has been released for the Peter Berg directed film. It’s not quite as effective as the first trailer for this film. The previous trailer had a lot of punch for a teaser trailer. This trailer goes into the disaster but not into the craftmanship that went into the story surrounding it. In this trailer, the viewer gets much more Kate Hudson, Kurt Russell, and John Malkovich this time around with Hudson having the most screen time out of the three.

This trailer makes the film seem as though it is only a disaster film whereas the first trailer showed that the film was much more than that.

Deepwater Horizon‘s plot synopsis: “Based on the true events that occurred on an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico on April 20, 2010, the story chronicles the courage of those who worked on the Deepwater Horizon and the extreme moments of bravery and survival in the face of what would become one of the biggest man-made disasters in world history.”

Deepwater Horizon also stars Dylan O’Brien, Mark Wahlberg, Gina Rodriguez, Ethan Suplee, Douglas M. Griffin, Sue-Lynn Ansari, Brad Leland, J.D. Evermore, Joe Chrest, James DuMont, David Maldonado, and Garrett Hines.
