DeNiro, Seagal, Lohan: MACHETE “Illegal” Movie Trailer

The “Illegal” Machete Movie Trailer has been released. Machete is directed by Robert Rodriguez and Ethan Maniquis and stars Danny Trejo, Michelle Rodriguez, Cheech Marin, Lindsay Lohan, Don Johnson, Jessica Alba, Steven Seagal, Robert DeNiro, Jeff Fahey, and Cheryl Chin. Machete‘s plot synopsis: “After being betrayed by the organization who hired him, an ex-Federale launches a brutal rampage of revenge against his former boss.” I like how the illegal trailer mixes elements and scenes from the faux Machete trailer attached to Grindhouse (2007). The fact that this trailer was released in partial response to the activities going on in Arizona right now involving illegal immigrants makes this trailer all too timely and relevant. Great call be Rodriguez releasing this movie trailer when he did. The Cinco de  Mayo intro by Trejo is funny but I’m guessing it was meant to intimidate. Now if we could only get a full movie for Thanksgiving and Don’t!. Machete will be released on September 3, 2010.
