Doctor Strange Comic-Con Trailer and Poster

The second movie trailer and movie poster for Doctor Strange (2016) were released at the 2016 San Diego Comic Con International. This movie trailer shows the viewer what went into creating the latter incarnation of Dr. Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch). The world and perception altering that Dr. Strange’s abilities afford him are shown in the final third of this trailer. This section of the trailer will immediately reminded the viewer of Christopher Nolan‘s Inception.

Watching Dr. Strange learn how to use his mystical abilities was the most interesting part of the trailer. The bits relating to his past as a medical doctor were good as well.

If the accident in this trailer has the result that I believe that it does, Dr. Strange must have been devastated, even after he healed. The trailer also introduced a tantalizing question: What happens to Christine Palmer (Rachel McAdams)? Does Dr. Strange drive her away after the accident or are they still together? Perhaps that are just colleagues.

Kaecilius (Mads Mikkelsen), the main villain in the film, is also shown during this new trailer.
