Doctor Strange in Negotiations to Film in England. The UK seems to be the best location for shooting when it comes to Marvel films, especially with their next future release. Marvel’s next big project, Doctor Strange, is in final talks to shoot at Pinewood-Shepperton in England.

Screen Daily reported that the studio responsible for filming this year’s biggest summer hit Guardians of the Galaxy might soon become a place to shoot Doctor Strange’s first film adaptation. The film crew is already lined up from late 2014 to early 2015 before production starts in May 2015. The studio was also responsible for shooting next year’s major release Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Pinewood-Shepperton, located at Buckinghamshre, has been known for shooting the James Bond film series, the Harry Potter series, and the upcoming Star Wars Episode VII.

With production announced this soon, Doctor Strange is already fast-tracked to be released by July 8, 2016 to during Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

To be directed by Scott Derrickson with a script by Jon Spaihts, the role of Doctor Strange hasn’t been cast yet but actor Joaquin Phoenix was in final negotiations to become the Mastery of Magic.
