Downton Abbey Season Five Trailer. ITV & PBS‘s Downton Abbey: Season 5 TV show trailer stars Lasco Atkins, Russell Balogh, Samantha Bond, Hugh Bonneville, and Ancuta Breaban. Downton Abbey‘s plot synopsis: “The series, set in the fictional Yorkshire country estate of Downton Abbey, depicts the lives of the aristocratic Crawley family and their servants in the post-Edwardian era—with the great events in history having an effect on their lives and on the British social hierarchy.”

On the fifth season:

Season 5 kicks off in 1924 as Ramsay MacDonald becomes Britain’s first ever Labour Prime Minister.

Downton Abbey: Season 5 also stars Richard E. Grant, Laura Carmichael, Jim Carter, Anna Chancellor, Ed Cooper Clarke, Brendan Coyle, Tom Cullen, Maggie Smith, Elizabeth McGovern, Michelle Dockery, Lily James, Joanne Froggatt, Daisy Lewis, Sophie McShera, Allen Leech, Rob James-Collier, and Phyllis Logan.
