Amazon has started taking pre-orders for Star Trek: Enterprise—Season Two. CBS will release the package August 20, 2013 with a SRP of $119.99 ($83.99 on Amazon). Extras include part two of the behind-the-scenes documentary included on the Season One Blu-ray disc set as well as a round table discussion with the reunited main cast from the series.

Another beloved sci-fi space series will be fully released on August 6, 2013. Universal already offers Battlestar Galactica: the 35th Anniversary Blu-ray as a Best Buy exclusive. Universal will also release Smash: Season Two and do a special promotion for the already-released Riddick Collection Blu-ray and DVD the same day.

Sony Pictures Classics has acquired the North American distribution rights to Only Lovers Left Alive, director Jim Jarmusch‘s vampire love flick that premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. Set against a backdrop of Detroit and Tangiers spanning centuries, the film stars Tilda Swinton, Tim Hiddleston, and Mia Wasikowska.

At $44 Million (over $326 Million adjusted for inflation) Darryl Zanuck and Joseph Mankiewicz‘s 1963 film Cleopatra once held the title of the most expensive movie ever made. Elizabeth Taylor‘s turn as the world renown beautiful Egyptian Pharoah is one of her best-known roles. The sweeping epic full of of lush, detailed, and expensive sets also stars Richard Burton, Rex Harrison, Roddy McDowall, and Martin Landau. Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment will release multiple-Oscar-winning Cleopatra on home video May 28, 2013. The set is available as a limited edition 50th anniversary 2 disc set plus book for $$34.99.

Shout! Factory will release three titles on May 28, 2013: Rolling Thunder, Dirty Mary Crazy Larry, and Race With The Devil. Rolling Thunder stars William DeVane as Maj. Charles Rane in perhaps his finest performance as a Vietnam vet returning with PTSD. He has difficulty adapting to everyday life and quickly reaches his breaking point leading to a dark disjointed free-fall down a hole of revenge and destruction. Peter Fonda and Susan George star as the titular Larry and Mary and Vic Morrow delights as the villainous sheriff Capt. Franklin in John Hough‘s in this classic 1974 car chase film. Shout! Factory previously released the film packaged with Race With The Devil and will rerelease both as stand-alone titles. Race With The Devil is yet another Peter Fonda car chase vehicle co-starring Warren Oates.

Doctor Who: Series Seven–Part Two will be released by BBC on May 28, 2013 as a two-disc Blu-ray set ($29.98 SRP). The doctor’s lovely new companion, Clara Oswald (Jenna-Louise Coleman) debuted this season, more than making up for the departure of Amy Pond (Karen Gillan) and Rory Williams (Arthur Darvill). Part Two is comprised of eight episodes beginning with “The Bells of Saint John” and ending with “The Name of the Doctor.” The Christmas special splitting Part One and Part Two, “The Snowmen,” is available as a separate release, also available beginning May 28, 2013.

Universal Studios will release a 3D combo pack of its delightfully likeable animated movie Despicable Me on May 28, 2013. The set includes a Blu-ray 3D, a regular Blu-ray, DVD, Digital Copy, and UltraViolet copy. It also has a bonus PIP view, mobile features, BD live, and D-box. The set retails for $39.98 ($20.49 on Amazon).

The horror movie Dark Skies will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on May 28, 2013. Starring Keri Russell and Josh Hamilton as suburban parents disturbed by a series of strange events at their home, they slowly realize they are the target of spirits with ill intentions for themselves and their son.

Dark Skies is available as a two-disc set with BD, DVD, DC, and UV for $39.99.

Cartoon Network will squeeze out The High Fructose Adventures of Annoying Orange: The Complete First Season on DVD only on May 28, 2013.

The Lionsgate action flick Black Rock will come smashing into your home screens on DVD only on July 30, 2013.

Gaiam Vivendi Entertainment has set a June 25, 2013 DVD only release date for The Garfield Show: Pizza Dreams.
