DVD Tuesday: Sept. 16, 2008

This is my first DVD Tuesday post. Many sites list ALL of the DVD titles that come out on Tuesday. They usually have a lethargic list with links and thats that. My DVD Tuesday list will only comprise of films I’ve seen, own and think are worth your viewing pleasure. This DVD Tuesday brings three films that I really enjoy and hopefully, so will you.

The Mist (Blu-ray)

If you’ve been on this site before you know I love The Mist. Frank Darabont knocked this one out of the park. I could talk about this film for days. I think my film review for The Mist was between 800 to 900 words long. I had a lot to say. Check this out. You will not be disappointed. This is one great horror film with tons of surprises and great acting.

1408 (Blu-ray)

1408 is another Stephen King story that is brought to the screen very well. I thought the film would be crap be it is excellent. Great acting by Cusack. Loved the ending, didn’t like the alternate ending.

Pirates of the Carriabean (Blu-ray)

Most people love Captain Jack Sparrow, even if they don’t like all of the Pirates of the Caribbean films that house him. If you don’t own any copies of this film and have a Blu-Ray player, this is probably the version for you. You do get to see Keira Knightly in HD. 🙂
