Rob Connolly‘s Edge of Winter (2016) movie trailer stars Tom Holland, Joel Kinnaman, Rachelle Lefevre, Shiloh Fernandez, and Rossif Sutherland. Edge of Winter‘s plot synopsis: “Recently divorced and laid off from his job, Elliot Baker (Joel Kinnaman) is desperate to spend more time bonding with his sons, Bradley (Tom Holland) and Caleb (Percy Hynes White). What starts as family day trip to teach his boys how to shoot turns into a nightmare when they become stranded. As they retreat to a desolate cabin, Elliot’s mounting fear of losing custody pushes him to the edge. The brothers quickly realize that the man responsible for keeping them safe has now become their biggest threat.”

Elliot Baker seems deranged in a completely realistic way. It seems that everyone in his life, except for his youngest son, knows that he is unhinged. If not unhinged, Elliot’s A.Q. is far higher than in a normal person. I’m surprised that Elliot’s ex-wife would let his children be around him. She didn’t attempt to get a restraining order on Elliot?

The trailer continually surprises with Elliot, more and more, letting “the monster” out of the cage. By the end film, Elliot may or may not be a murderer who is dealing with the consequences of that decision.
