ELITE SQUAD 2 (2010) Movie Trailer: José Padilha, Wagner Moura

Wagner Moura, Elite Squad 2

The Elite Squad 2 Movie Trailer has premiered. José Padilha‘s Elite Squad 2 (2010) stars Wagner Moura, Seu Jorge, and Tainá Müller. Elite Squad 2 (Tropa de Elite 2)‘s plot synopsis: “Nascimento faces a new enemy: the militias. To hit upon the system that dominates the Rio de Janeiro, he discovers that the problem is much bigger than he thought. He needs to balance the challenge of pacifying a city occupied by the crime with constant worries about her teenage son. When the personal and professional universe of Colonel Nascimento meets, the result is explosive.”

Elite Squad 2 is the continuation of what began in the first Elite Squad film. The “war machine” that Nascimento (Wagner Moura) helped to create in that film is in full swing in this film. This looks like it could be good. If its too good, we might be in store for a Hollywood remake down the line.

  • Get Real

I’m not sure where the numbers were gathered saying this movie sold 2 millions more tickets that Avatar, but I think there is just a little voter fraud going on. This movie looks HORRIBLE!!! I can see more tickets than Brokeback Mountian, but def not more than Avatar.

  • This is a Brazil movie made for Brazilians that touches on issues close to them. More might turn out for this film than for Avatar.
