EMANUEL AND THE TRUTH ABOUT FISHES (2013) Movie Trailer

Jessica Biel Kaya Scodelario Emanuel and the Truth about Fishes

Emanuel and the Truth about Fishes Trailer. Francesca Gregorini‘s Emanuel and the Truth about Fishes (2013) movie trailer stars Jessica Biel, Kaya Scodelario, Frances O’Connor, Alfred Molina, and Jimmi Simpson. Emanuel and the Truth about Fishes‘ plot synopsis: “A troubled girl (Emanuel) becomes preoccupied with her mysterious new neighbor (Linda), who bears a striking resemblance to her dead mother. In offering to baby-sit Linda’s newborn, Emanuel unwittingly enters a fragile, fictional world, of which she becomes the gatekeeper.”

On what critics have thought of the film so far:

In his Sundance review, Germain praised Gregorini for doing something “so unexpected, so creepy, so darkly hilarious that you can’t help but be 100% on board for the ride.”…critical reaction on the whole has been pretty mixed. In a glowing 9/10 review, Jo Blo called it an “extraordinary” film, the likes of which “are the reason I love coming to Sundance”; Flixist landed on the opposite end of the spectrum, dismissing it as “joyless” and “empty.” And there are plenty more that land somewhere between those two extremes.

Emanuel and the Truth about Fishes also stars Sam Jaeger, Gabriela Dias, Anne Ramsay, Aneurin Barnard, Spencer Garrett, Cooper Thornton, Jonathan Schmock, Kevin McCorkle, Lucy Angelo, and Lucy Walsh.
