Esther has a secret in THE ORPHAN Trailer

the-orphan-trailer-header

The movie trailer for The Orphan has been released. The first time I saw it, I was immediately reminded me of The Good Son and the upcoming horror film Case 39, though The Orphan seems far darker than Case 67 but gives more away in its trailer. The tone of The Orphan trailer is great though and the main star of the film, Esther (Isabelle Fuhman), seems intimidating, calculating and intelligent beyond her age. She should be interesting to watch, not unlike Anna Paquin in The Piano. The Orphan’s synopsis: “A husband and wife who recently lost their baby adopt a 9-year-old girl who is not nearly as innocent as she claims to be.” Check out the trailer below and leave your thoughts on it. The Orphan is going to be released on July 24, 2009.

Finally someone agrees with me. These types of films are all the same in my eyes. Its just another film that middle aged woman will go to see and say that it scared the life out of them.
  • i agree that these movies are repetitive and annoying. however, i will see it for peter sarsgaard. i have to wonder why he decided to take the role.
  • @cinebrooding I'm guessing you liked his participation in Kinsey then?

I CAN NOT STAND THESE TYPES OF FILMS When they try and make little kids scary. Like a child could do all that. You woud just give the kid a time out or show them the back of your hand. When will they get that these films are not scary who's scared of a 9 year old. Maybey it's just me but i can not stand when they alway do a shot of the child doing a sinister grin. I mean come on. now i watched this with no sound so if i missed something please let me knoe.
