EXTANT: Season 2, Episode 11: Zugzwang: TV Show Trailer [CBS]

Halle Berry Grace Gummer Extant Zugzwang

TV show trailer for CBS Extant episode Zugzwang. Well, some monkeyshiner has messed with the machines, and now the streets of Itchy & Scratchy Land are about to run red with the blood of its patrons. Hmn? Ah – wrong doomsday scenario. I kind of defaulted to a fonder memory, of a familiar premise.

The cast of Extant are in for a much less fun time, as homicidal Humanichs somehow make murderous mechanical mascots seem preferable. For one thing, the mascots didn’t have guns. For another, they didn’t have Lucy (Kiersey Clemons) in the lead. On the other hand, Team Molly (Halle Berry) does have a lead, regarding putting the Humanich genie back in the bottle.

‘Zugzwang’ official plot synopsis:

Molly, JD and Ethan track down John’s mysterious former colleague who may hold the key to stopping the Humanich threat. Also, Julie enlists Charlie on a mission to find out where Lucy’s orders are coming.

So with Molly & Julie (Grace Gummer) still on the same page (awkwardly, from the looks of their pic), it’s off to see the Wizard; even as Molly’s last guilt trip (imagined or otherwise) gives her pause, regarding JD’s (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) commitment to the quest.

‘Zugzwang’ also features Pierce Gagnon,  Tyler HiltonVivan Dugré, Colton Wheeler, Keith David, and David Morrissey, and airs Wednesday, Sept. 2, at 9:00 pm, EST, on CBS.
