FAST AND FURIOUS 7: Vin Diesel says Next Film Shoots in LA this Summer

Vin Diesel Fast and Furious 6

Fast and Furious 7 shooting this summer. Fast and Furious 6 has not even been released yet but the film has begun testing in special screenings. A recent screening was so positive for Fast and Furious 6 in Los Angeles, California that it seems that a seventh film in the series will happen and happen soon.

Vin Diesel had this to say about Fast and Furious 7:

There was an early screening in LA this week of Fast 6. The crowd reaction was surreal… and their demand for the continuation was powerful… It’s remarkable to think I first embodied this character in 1999… and the evolution continues. P.s. Filming begins this summer in LA, where it all started… talk about a studio in sync with the audience…

That must have been one hell of a test screening. Chris Morgan is most-likely writing the script with Justin Lin directing again. When Fast 6 was being made, Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson spoke about filming six and seven back-to-back but everyone’s schedule would not allow it. I am guessing the previously suggested storyline for both films will be employed. There is no word on how this will effect the spin-off Luke Hobbs film but since a script is not even written for it yet, The Fast and Furious 7 will happen first.

Fast & Furious 6′s plot synopsis: “Since Dom (Diesel) and Brian’s (Walker) Rio heist toppled a kingpin’s empire and left their crew with $100 million, our heroes have scattered across the globe.  But their inability to return home and living forever on the lam have left their lives incomplete.

Meanwhile, Hobbs (Johnson) has been tracking an organization of lethally skilled mercenary drivers across 12 countries, whose mastermind (Evans) is aided by a ruthless second-in-command revealed to be the love Dom thought was dead, Letty (Rodriguez).  The only way to stop the criminal outfit is to outmatch them at street level, so Hobbs asks Dom to assemble his elite team in London.  Payment?  Full pardons for all of them so they can return home and make their families whole again.”

Justin Lin‘s Fast & Furious 6 stars Paul Walker, Gina Carano, Clara Paget, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Gal Gadot, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Elsa Pataky, Michelle Rodriguez, Luke Evans, Joe Taslim, Rowena Diamond, and Kim Kold.
