Border Guards, The Good Lord Bird, Monster Trucks, and other movies have all made recent film casting news. These films come from movie studios primarily based in the United States. The castings are subject to change.

Sharon Stone is the latest to snag a role in the Jesse Eisenberg-Kristen Stewart starrer American Ultra…Stone…will play Victoria Lasseter.

San Andreas (New Line)

New Line has added Colton Haynes to the cast of San Andreas.

Border Guards (Sony Pictures)

Border Guards…is…a comedy that [Adam] McKay is eyeing to direct, with [Will] Ferrell and [John C.] Reilly playing two hapless but earnest friends who decide to give purpose to their lives by protecting America’s borders from illegal immigrants. In the process they find themselves accidentally stranded in Mexico without identification and must sneak back into the U.S. It’s only related to the previous films in that Ferrell and Reilly pair so well together.

Story is told with a satirical bent through the eyes of Onion, who wears a dress and is at first mistaken for a girl, as he bears witness to Brown’s historic campaign and encounters the likes of Frederick Douglass and Harriet Tubman en route to the bloody Harper’s Ferry raid that helped spark the Civil War.

 Monster Trucks (Paramount Pictures)

Paramount’s 2015 live-action animation hybrid pic Monster Trucks has cast Emmy-winner Barry Pepper (Saving Private Ryan, True Grit) in a role that the studio’s keeping under wraps.
