Film Casting: DUNKIRK, XXX: THE RETURN OF XANDER CAGE, Bel Powley in STAR WARS: EPISODE 8

Bel Powley

Dunkirk, xXx: The Return of Xander Cage, Star Wars: Episode 8, and  have made recent film casting news. Star Wars: Episode 8 will be produced by Lucasfilm Ltd., xXx: The Return of Xander Cage will be produced by Paramount Pictures,  and Dunkirk will be produced by Warner Bros. The casting is subject to change.

Star Wars: Episode 8

As shooting begins for Star Wars: Episode VIII, a new name has surfaced in connection with the science fiction series’ next installment. Bel Powley, who appeared in last year’s The Diary Of A Teenage Girl, is reportedly in the running to play an unidentified character in the highly-anticipated film. Although little can be confirmed at this time, some have speculated that Powley’s role might be the same one Gugu Mbatha-Raw was claimed to be attached to last year.

Hosted by The Wrap’s Jeff Sneider, it should be noted that anything the film reporter reveals on Meet The Movie Press instead of his official platform at The Wrap should be considered a RUMOR.  It should be noted that Sneider isn’t actually sure if Powley is in the mix for the same role that Mbatha-Raw was rumored to have secured or if she’s being considered for a different character altogether.

xXx: The Return of Xander Cage

Nina Dobrev, Deepika Padukone, and Ruby Rose may be joining the film. All three are in various stages of negotiation.

Ruby Rose has been cast as a sniper.

Deepika Padukone has been cast a former flame of Vin Diesel character, who is now a hunter.

Nina Dobrev will play a technical specialist that spews wise-cracks.

Dunkirk

Hans Zimmer will be scoring the Christopher Nolan directed film.
