[Charlie Hunnam] is in final negotiations with [Warner Bros.] to star as King Arthur in a medieval saga intended to span six films — by the end of both franchises, I believe Hunnam will legally be a Warner brother, right? Hunnam emerged as director Guy Ritchie’s choice for the part

Elizabeth Olsen (Godzilla, Avengers: Age of Ultron) is the frontrunner for the female lead. We’re assuming her role would be that of Guinevere. Idris Elba, …, was previously in talks to play a character named Bedivere, the right-hand man to Arthur’s father — who may or may not be Merlin.

Vacation (Reboot/Sequel)

Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Charlie Day (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) are in negotiations to join New Line Cinema’s Vacation reboot/sequel. If cast, they will join Ed Helms and Christina Applegate on the project.

Horrible Bosses writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein will direct the movie from a script that they wrote. The new Vacation film will follow the adventures of Clark Griswold’s grown-up son Rusty (Helms). He takes his own family on a road trip that will be full of all kinds of crazy antics.

According to Variety, Hemsworth will play Audrey’s husband, and Day will play a river raft touring guide.

Bottom Of The World

Jena Malone (The Hunger Games sequels, Hatfields & McCoys) and Douglas Smith (Terminator: Genisys, Ouija) have landed lead roles [in] the indie horror pic Bottom Of The World for director Richard Sears. Malone and Smith play Scarlett and Alex, a young couple who stop at a desert motel on their way to start a new life in L.A. When she vanishes, Alex desperately tries to find her but is plunged into a nightmarish world where he finally realizes that he must be in a dream — but he is not the dreamer. Ted Levine also has joined the cast as a sinister preacher who taunts Alex at every turn. Brian Gottlieb wrote the pic

Nicholas Braun (The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, At Middleton) has begun filming The Stanford Prison Experiment. The pic directed by Kyle Patrick Alvarez from Tim Talbott’s script chronicles the notorious 1971 experiment conducted at Stanford University, in which students played prisoner and guard in a psychological simulation with all-too-real results. Braun…plays Vandy, an abusive and sadistic guard.

Good Kids

David Coussins (Aussie TV’s Woodley and Winners & Losers) has booked a supporting role in Good Kids. Chris McCoy is making his directorial debut from his 2011 Black List script about four high school students look to redefine themselves after graduation. Nicholas Braun, Zoey Deutch, and Israel Broussard star in the pic
