The screenplay will be based on a treatment penned by legendary Marvel Comics writer Chris Claremont, who with Jim Lee created the character for Marvel in 1990. The storyline is being kept under wraps.

Tales of Halloween Horror Anthology

a new anthology is assembling with the likes of Neil Marshall (The Descent) and Darren Bousman (Saw II, III and IV) behind the camera…[of] Tales Of Halloween, which will collect ten segments from eleven directors into one interconnected series of stories, all set in a sleepy American suburb terrorized by ghouls, aliens, and killers one Halloween night.

Tapped to helm segments alongside Marshall and Bousman are Joe Begos (Almost Human), Axelle Carolyn (Soulmate), Adam Gierasch (Night Of The Demons), Andrew Kasch (Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy) and John Skipp (Stay At Home Dad), Mike Mendez (Big Ass Spider!), Dave Parker (The Hills Run Red), Ryan Schifrin (Abominable), and Paul Solet (Grace).

Steve Jobs biopic

Seth Rogen has been set to star as Steve Wozniak opposite Christian Bale in Sony’s Steve Jobs biopic.

Writer Aaron Sorkin recently confirmed the Bale casting.

Based on Walter Isaacson’s biography “Steve Jobs,” the real-life drama is directed by Oscar-winner Danny Boyle.

Mitch Glazer wrote the script and will direct series regulars Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Danny Huston, Olga Kurylenko and Kelly Lynch, who’ll be joined by Bruce Willis, Bill Murray and others.

The pitch: Miami 1962. Gangsters, hoteliers, spies and socialites win, lose and die beneath the palms. JFK and a mob boss share a mistress in a Collins Avenue penthouse. The CIA secretly arms Cuban freedom fighters and hires the mafia to kill Castro. The most powerful Miami Beach hotel owner battles them all to save his family and survive in the Magic City.

Replay

David Twohy has been tapped to direct time-travel pic Replay at Relativity…This is the previously untitled sci-fi script that the studio snapped up in July from screenwriter Joe Gazzam…Story tracks Tyler Vaughn, a test subject in a quantum experiment who’s sent four days into the future, only to discover his son has been killed and he’s been fingered for the murder. When the day ends, he’s pulled back one day prior and realizes he must solve the mystery of his son’s death as he jumps backward, one day at a time, to stop it from happening on the day of the initial experiment.
