F. Murray Abraham has been cast as Grimmel, the main villain in the film.

Abraham joins already cast Jay Baruchel, America Ferrera, Kit Harrington, Cate Blanchett in the Dean DeBlois -directed film.

How to Train Your Dragon 3 will be released in U.S. theaters through Universal Pictures on March 1, 2019.

What Men Want

Taraji P. Henson has been cast as a female sports agent “who has been constantly boxed out by her male colleagues. When she gains the power to hear men’s thoughts, she is able to shift the paradigm to her advantage as she races to sign the NBA’s next superstar.”

What Men Want will be released on January 11, 2019.

A White Lie

Zendaya has been cast as Anita Hemmings, a light-skinned African-American woman who “passed as white so she could attend Vassar at the turn of the 20th century.”

Monica Beletsky is currently writing the script based on Karin Tanabe‘s novel, on which A White Lie is based.

Five Faces of Maria

Francis Lawrence has been set to direct the film written by Gina Welch.

Five Faces of Maria‘s plot synopsis: “Five Faces of Maria tells the true story of Maria Bochkareva, a Russian soldier who overcame poverty and abuse to fight alongside male soldiers in WWI. After rising through the ranks and displaying stringent discipline and unwavering support for the motherland, Maria formed and led the Women’s Battalion of Death, the first all-female Russian combat regiment. She recruited nearly 2000 women and had great success on the Eastern front.”

The Girl in the Spider’s Web

Claes Bang has been cast as one of the villains in the film.

Bang joins Claire Foy and Sylvia Hoeks in the Fede Alvarez-directed film.

The film’s script was written by Steven Knight, based on the novel by David Lagercrantz.

The Girl in the Spider’s Web‘s plot synopsis (the book’s synopsis): “A genius hacker who has always been an outsider. A journalist with a penchant for danger. She is Lisbeth Salander, the girl with the dragon tattoo. He is Mikael Blomkvist, crusading editor of Millennium. One night, Blomkvist receives a call from a source who claims to have been given information vital to the United States by a young female hacker. Blomkvist, always on the lookout for a story, reaches out to Salander for help. She, as usual, has plans of her own. The Girl in the Spider’s Web will be released in U.S. theaters on October 19, 2018.

Playmobil

Wendi McLendon-Covey has been cast in an unspecified role in the Lino DiSalvo-directed film.

Blaise Hemingway wrote the script for the the film.

Playmobil will be released in U.S. theaters through Open Road Films on April 19, 2019.

Black Klansman

Ryan Eggold has been cast as Walter Breachway, “a dishonorably discharged Army vet, and local chapter president of the Colorado Springs Ku Klux Klan who became a head recruiter working to induct Ron into the illicit organization.”

Eggold joins Adam Driver, John David Washington, and Topher Grace in the Spike Lee-directed film.

Black Klansman‘s plot synopsis: “Black Klansman centers on the true story of Ron Stallworth (John David Washington), an African-American police officer who successfully managed to infiltrate the local Ku Klux Klan. Eggold will portray Walter Breachway, a dishonorably discharged Army vet, and local chapter president of the Colorado Springs Ku Klux Klan who became a head recruiter working to induct Ron into the illicit organization.”

Black Klansman will be released in U.S. theaters through Focus Features on October 19, 2018.

Instant Family

Rose Byrne has been cast in an unspecified role in the film.

Byrne joins Mark Wahlberg in the Sean Anders-directed film.

Burn

Mahershala Ali has been cast as Northern California detective. This undercover detective takes down an entire criminal cartel while keeping his family in the dark about his spurious alter-ego.

Fredrick Kotto is writing the script, based on the novel by A.J. Wolfe.

Inherit the Viper

Josh Hartnett has been cast as Kip, the brother of Josie.

Margarita Levieva has been cast as Josie, the sister of Kip.

Inherit the Viper‘s plot synopsis: “the plot follows siblings Kip (Hartnett), Josie (Levieva) and Boots as they try to escape the spiral of violence that has held them captive since their father’s passing. In these regions left behind by the economy, selling drugs has become their way of survival. A business that is very hard to quit – at least not alive.”
