Film Casting: MEADOWLAND, Bradley Cooper in Mack Bolan Novel-to-Film

Bradley Cooper Limitless

Meadowland and other films have all made recent film casting, screenwriting, and director news. These films come from movie studios primarily based in the United States. The castings, screenwriters, and directors are subject to change.

Mack Bolan Film

Warner Bros has acquired the Don Pendleton anti-terrorist operative Mack Bolan novel series and will develop it as a star vehicle for Bradley Cooper to potentially play Bolan, and Todd Phillips to potentially direct him. Avatar 4 co-writer Shane Salerno – who acquired the rights to the franchise from Pendleton’s estate — will write the script

Olympus Has Fallen sequel London Has Fallen

Fredrik Bond is in negotiations to direct the “Olympus Has Fallen” sequel, “London Has Fallen,”

Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart and Morgan Freeman are set to return with Christian Gudegast, Creighton Rothenberger and Katrin Benedikt penning the script.

The story follows the three main characters to London as they attend the funeral of the British prime minister. The trio is suddenly caught in the middle of plot to kill all the world leaders who are in attendance at the funeral.

Meadowland

Giovanni Ribisi, Ty Simpkins, Scott Mescudi (aka Kid Cudi), Mark Feuerstein, Kevin Corrigan and Juno Temple have joined Bron Studios’ drama “Meadowland.”

Emperor

Sophie Cookson has come on board opposite Adrien Brody in historical action-adventure “Emperor.”

Other cast members in “Emperor,” directed by Lee Tamahori, include Paz Vega (“Talk to Her”), Gotz Otto (“Cloud Atlas”) Bill Skarsgard (“Anna Karenina”), Thomas Kretschmann (“Valkyrie”), Oliver Platt and Rutger Hauer.

The script is written by Michael Thomas III (“The Devil’s Double”) and Jeffrey Hatcher (“The Duchess”). Cookson plays a feisty and daring 21-year-old who infiltrates the court of Holy Roman Emperor Charles V (Brody) to avenge the death of her father at a time when the emperor is struggling to hold together a fragmented empire in a world of wealth, debauchery, intrigue and treason.

Yoga Hosers

Johnny Depp and Kevin Smith are teaming up for what is being dubbed a “comic book movie”, an action-adventure movie that will star Depp, his daughter Lily-Rose Depp, and Smith’s daugther Harley Quinn Smith.

In fact, the entire cast of Tusk is returning for Hosers, including Michael Parks, Justin Long, Haley Joel Osment, Genesis Rodriguez, Ralph Garman, Jennifer Schwalbach and Harley Morenstein.

New to the cast are Tony Hale, Natasha Lyonne, Austin Butler, Adam Brody, Tyler Posey and Jason Mewes.

Hosers, written by Smith, centers on 15-year-old yoga nuts Colleen Collette (Lily-Rose Depp) and Colleen McKenzie (Harley Quinn Smith) who have an after-school job at a Manitoba convenience store called Eh-2-Zed. When an ancient evil rises from beneath Canada’s crust and threatens their big invitation to a Grade 12 party, the Colleens join forces with a legendary man-hunter from Montreal named Guy Lapointe (Depp) to fight for their lives with, according to the producers, “all seven Charkas, one Warrior Pose at a time.”
