Seth Rogen, Rose Byrne, Zac Efron, Ike Barinholtz and Carla Gallo are all returning for the sequel, and this time, they’ll be joined by Chloe Moretz.
AdvertisementUniversal and Good Universe reunited the original team of director Nicholas Stoller and writers Andrew Jay Cohen and Brendan O’Brien. That trio is credited with writing the script, along with Rogen and Evan Goldberg.

Mortal Kombat
Furious 7 director James Wan is stepping in to produce the MORTAL KOMBAT reboot currently underway at New Line and Broken Road.
The in-demand director of The Conjuring and Insidious: Chapter 2 has been brought over to uppercut some new life into the previously stunted picture.
The script, being penned by Mortal Kombat: Legacy writer Oren Uziel and The Expendables writer Dave Callaham, centers around a seemingly harmless guy who realizes his potential when he finds himself caught in the middle of a cross-dimensional battle between the warriors of Earth and the monsters of Outworld. Now, in order to stop the world from total destruction, he must win the martial arts tournament known as ‘Mortal Kombat’.
Baywatch
Zac Efron is suiting up in red bathing trunks and hitting the beach.
Efron is in negotiations to star opposite Dwayne Johnson in Paramount’s Baywatch, the big-screen take on the 1990s television series about California lifeguards.
After years of development, the project seems to finally be ramping up and in recent weeks adding Seth Gordon as director.
The story centers on a by-the-book and very serious lifeguard (Johnson) who is forced to team up with a young rule-flouting hothead (Efron) in order to save their beach from environmental destruction at the hands of an oil tycoon. Damian Shannon and Mark Swift wrote the most recent draft.
