Film Casting: MOTHER’S DAY, UNFORGETTABLE, Kristen Stewart in CHANEL Film

Good After Bad

Melora Walters, Maddie Hasson and Billy Burke have been cast in Good After Bad, an indie from first-time feature director Anne-Marie Hess. The film follows the relationship between a bullied student, Shelly (Hasson), whose home life is in shambles, and a wealthy eccentric, Wes (Burke), with no friends and issues with women. Things take a turn when Wes offers to become the teen’s guardian. Walters will portray Shelly’s mother, Victoria, a former society type now feeling the aftereffects of years of hard living who is manic, off her meds and living with an alcoholic ex-con.

Hasson’s role as Shelly is a smart, attractive, high school outcast and aspiring song writer described as artistic, perceptive and vulnerable. Desperate for structure and a place to fit in, Shelly is very grateful when Wes comes into her life.

Sully

Holt McCallany will be flying the friendly (and heroic) skies alongside Tom Hanks in Sully…McCallany is playing Mike Cleary, President of the U.S. Airline Pilots Association who is an ally of Sully and an advocate for his courage and talent.

Chanel film

Kristen Stewart…will star in a film directed by designer Karl Lagerfeld for the French fashion house’s upcoming show.

The story, conceived by Lagerfeld, offers a fictional, behind-the-scenes look at a biopic in the making about founder Gabrielle Chanel

Stewart portrays an actress impersonating the designer as a young woman. Geraldine Chaplin, who has played Chanel in previous Lagerfeld films, is in the movie as well. Lagerfeld filmed the project last month in two days at director Luc Besson’s Paris studio.

Mother’s Day

Ella Anderson (Henry Danger) has joined the cast of Mother’s Day, opposite Julia Roberts, Jennifer Aniston, Jason Sudeikis and Kate Hudson. In the Garry Marshall-helmed pic that celebrates motherhood, Anderson will play Sudeikis’s daughter Vicky, who is celebrating only the memory of her mother.

Unforgettable

Cheryl Ladd is set to play Katherine Heigl’s mother in the Warner Bros feature Unforgettable, the directorial debut of producer Denise Di Novi. Heigl plays a newly divorced mother whose jealousy over her ex-husband’s new fiancee turns pathological. Geoff Stults, Isabella Rice, Simon Kassianides, Whitney Cummings and Robert Wisdom also star.
