In The Coldest City, Theron…plays a super spy who springs into action after an underground MI6 officer is killed just before the fall of the Berlin Wall. She must find a list he was smuggling into the West to protect herself and the counter intelligence community. It becomes a game of double-crossing as agents play out global agendas.

Barbershop 3

Barbershop 3‘s cast continues to expand with the addition of Margot Bingham. Bingham…will play the character of Bree, described as “a natural beauty who wears her distrust of men on her sleeve.” She’ll appear as a romantic rival to Chyna Layne’s ‘Kayla’, and abhors a romantic vacuum.

The Birth Of A Nation

Penelope Ann Miller has signed on to appear in “The Birth Of A Nation“, the provocatively-titled biopic about Nat Turner, the slave who led a bloody revolt against the peculiar institution in 1831. Miller will play Elizabeth Turner, the mother of slaveowner Samuel Turner, a refined, kindly woman who spots Nat’s intelligence, and makes a special point of teaching him to read. Devoutly religious, Elizabeth becomes appalled by the atrocities of the slave system. Miller joins Armie Hammer, who plays Samuel, as well as Aja Naomi King, Aunjanue Ellis, Colman Domingo, Dwight Henry, Roger Guenveur Smith and Gabrielle Union. The Birth of a Nation is directed by Nate Parker, who also writes and directs.

The Wolves At The Door

Katie Cassidy has joined the cast of New Line’s period thriller The Wolves At The Door, helmed by Annabelle director (and frequent James Wan-cinematographer) John Leonetti. Written by Gary Dauberman

Cassidy will be starring opposite the earlier-announced Miles Fisher, Elizabeth Henstridge, and Adam Campbell.

On The Basis Of Sex

Natalie Portman is set to play Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in On The Basis Of Sex, with Marielle Heller (The Diary Of A Teenage Girl) in negotiations to direct.

The script, which follows the travails of Ginsburg as she faced numerous obstacles to her fight for equal rights throughout her career, was written by Daniel Stiepleman
