Introduced by Hall’s wife Deborah, the two men from opposite walks of life met at a homeless shelter where Hall was volunteering. Their self-published book Same Kind Of Different As Me: A Modern-Day Slave, An International Art Dealer, And The Unlikely Woman Who Bound Them Together was picked up by Thomas Nelson and went on to hit No. 8 on the New York Times bestseller list.
