Michael Haneke is directing Happy End as his next film.

Jean-Louis Trintignant and Isabelle Huppert are starring.

xXx 3

Vin Diesel and Samuel L. Jackson are returning for xXx 3. The film will be directed by D.J. Caruso.

Jet Li, Tona Jaa, and Deepika Padukone are also joining the cast. Conor McGregor was previously announced as a cast member.

Deepika Padukone will portray a character on Xander’s side.

Only Yesterday

Daisy Ridley, Dev Patel, Alison Fernandez, and Ashley Eckstein will voice a lead character in the US release of Only Yesterday.

Annihilation

Tessa Thompson may be joining Natalie Portman and Gina Rodriguez in Alex Garland‘s Annihilation.

The film “follows a group of women who take on a dangerous mission where the laws of nature don’t apply. The group consists of an anthropologist; a surveyor; a psychologist who serves as the group’s de facto leader; and a biologist, who serves as the narrator.”

Baywatch

Kelly Rohrbach has been cast as C.J. Parker in the part made famous by Pamela Anderson on TV.

Aux

John Rhys-Davies will be starring in Aux, an action-horror film directed and co-written by John Adams. The other writer is Peter Adams.

“‘Aux’ begins when two young boys discover the entrance to a secret military bunker that has been undetected since World War II with both subsequently killed. A police investigation is initiated but the officers are killed in grotesque and mysterious ways while a WWII veteran in a nursing home — played by Rhys-Davies — sees these events unfolding on the news and believes he may know what is going on.”

People You May Know

Halston Sage, Nick Thune, and Kaily Westbrook have been cast in the dramedy People You May Know, a film Sherwin Shilati is directing and co-wrote with Michael Mohan. The new cast members are joining Nick Rutherford, Gillian Alexy, Carly Chaikin, and Ian Harding.

On Thune’s character: “Thune plays a 30-something introvert who, after abstaining from social media his adult life, is convinced that he doesn’t exist if he’s not online. When filling out his profiles, he realizes the life he can fake is much more interesting than the one he actually leads.”

Izzy Gets the F–k Across Town

Mackenzie Davis has been cast in the film being directed and written by Christian Papierniak. Davis joins cast members Carrie Coon, Sarah Goldberg, Rob Huebel, Brandon T. Jackson, Luka Jones, Kyle Kinane, Haley Joel Osment, Alex Russell, Alia Shawkat, Keith Stanfield, Dolly Wells, and Bobby Lamont.

On Davis’ character: “a woman at rock bottom who must find her way across Los Angeles in order to crash her ex-boyfriend’s engagement party.”

Transformers 5

Michael Bay will be directing Transformers 5. The film is written by Ken Nolan, Art Marcum and Matt Holloway with Mark Wahlberg returning to star.
