Avatar 2, Justice League, Glass, And Other Film And TV Casting News

Avatar 2, Justice LeagueGlass, and other films and TV shows have made recent casting news.

These productions come from studios based primarily in the United States. The castings are subject to change.

Sarah Paulson has been cast in M. Night Shyamalan’s planned Unbreakable sequel Glass. Paulson joins a cast that includes James McAvoy and Anya Taylor-Joy as well as returning stars Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson. A deconstruction of superhero mythology, the original film didn’t fare well at the box office but was fairly received by critics.

Justice League

Joss Whedon will be credited as a co-director on Warner Bros.’ upcoming DC superhero crossover Justice League. Whedon was originally brought in to wrap up post-production on the film after Zack Snyder stepped down from the director’s chair, but the changes he made to the project appear to have been significant enough to warrant his crediting as a co-director.

Avatar 2

CCH Pounder is set to reprise her as Moat for the highly-anticipated Avatar 2 and three other sequels. Outside of the original 2009 film, Pounder is known for her roles on NCIS: New Orleans and Sons of Anarchy.

Dome Karukoski has been tapped to helm Chernin Entertainment’s proposed biopic of J.R.R. Tolkien. Simply titled Tolkien, the film will focus on the Lord of the Rings creator’s formative years in school.

Khe Sanh

John Wells is ready to direct the planned war film Khe Sanh. Set at the height of the Vietnam War, the movie will document the struggle of 5000 marines to survive in the face of a 20,000-strong North Vietnamese assault.
