Carnival RowCheneyTitans, and other films and TV shows have made recent casting news.

These productions come from studios based primarily in the United States. The castings are subject to change.


Brenton Thwaites is set to play Robin in the planned live-action Teen Titans series Titans. Thwaites has previously appeared in such productions as Gods of Egypt and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man Tell No Tales. Like the comics and the animated adaptation inspired by them, the Warner Bros. TV program will feature Robin as the leader of a group of teenaged superheroes trying to maintain order in their own little corner of the DC Universe.


Sam Rockwell has been cast as George W. Bush in Adam McKay’s upcoming Dick Cheney biopic. Rockwell has acted in such high-profile films as Iron Man 2Seven Psychopaths, and Moon, which earned him a Saturn Award nomination. It is unknown who will be playing the controversial vice president in the proposed political drama, nor how much Rockwell’s Bush will figure into the story.

Cara Delevingne has been cast in a lead role in Amazon’s original fantasy series Carnival Row.


Stephanie J. Block and Mark Tallman have joined NBC’s Rise.

El Chicano

Raul Castillo, George Lopez, Aimee Garcia, and Kate del Castillo have all joined the cast of the Ben Bray indie production El Chicano.
