X-Men: Dark Phoenix

Jessica Chastain officially confirms that she will appear as Lilandra in X-Men: Dark Phoenix. Chastain’s involvement with the movie has been known about since June when The Hollywood Reporter said that she was in the middle of negotiations for the role. The Zero Dark Thirty actress made the announcement on Instagram, where she shared a picture of her with series star James McAvoy.

The Lion King

Academy Award-winning Chiwetel Ejiofor is in the midst of talks to voice Scar in Disney’s planned CGI remake of The Lion King. It was previously claimed that Hugh Jackman was being eyed for the role, but the Logan actor’s representatives denied he had any involvement with the film. The character was played by Jeremy Irons in the original 1994 animated film.

Hayley Atwell is set to appear in the Winnie the Pooh spin-off film Christopher Robin.

Eternal Warrior

Guardians of the Galaxy actor Dave Bautista will star in the movie adaptation of Valiant Entertainment’s comic Eternal Warrior.
