Thor: Ragnarok

Clancy Brown is set to appear as the fire giant Surtur in the upcoming Marvel sequel Thor: Ragnarok. A veteran of films and TV shows based on comics, Brown has played roles in productions like Daredevil, The Flash, and Cowboys and Aliens. He joins a cast that includes Chris Hemsworth and Jeff Goldblum.

Black Lightning

James Remar and Damon Gupton have both been cast in The CW’s newest DC superhero program Black Lightning. Remar is known for his role in Dexter, while Gupton has previously acted in Criminal Minds. The former has been cast as one Peter Gambi while the latter is ready to play Inspector Henderson.

Gotham

Crystal Reed will play Sofia Falcone in Fox’s Batman prequel series Gotham. Reed is an alum of MTV’s Teen Wolf, where she portrayed the character Allison Argent. Set before the Dark Knight arrives in Gotham City, the show explores the lives of his friends and enemies before he appears on the scene.

Wayward Sisters

Kim Rhodes, Briana Buckmaster, Kathryn Newton, and Katherine Ramdeen will all star in the planned Supernatural spin-off Wayward Sisters.

Spawn

Todd MacFarlane reveals that several Oscar-winning actors have approached him about acting in the Spawn movie. However, the director did not identify any of them.
