Captain Marvel

Samuel L. Jackson has been confirmed to reprise the role of Nick Fury for the upcoming solo superhero outing Captain Marvel. The news comes just under a week after rumors that the Avengers regular would appear in the film gained additional credence. It is unclear how exactly his character will figure into the movie’s story at this point.

In The Garden Of The King

Johan Renck has been tapped by Anonymous Content and Made In Africa Films to direct their planned coproduction of In The Garden Of The King. The film will tackle the brutal colonization of the Congo by the Belgian monarch King Leopold II.

Mail Order Monster

Josh Hopkins and Charisma Carpenter have been added to the cast of Jax Productions’ Mail Order Monster. They will act opposite Madison Horcher, who is known for her role in the recent TV remake of Adventures in Babysitting.

Allison Strong will play a role in the upcoming Adam Sandler comedy The Week Of.

Untitled Central Park Five Series

Ava DuVernay will direct and write an original drama series for Netflix about the falsely-accused Central Park Five.
