John Cena and Joshua Sasse are both reportedly contenders for the title role in Warner Bros.’ planned film Shazam! The report originates from That Hashtag Show, which also claims that a third actor was considered for the part before being passed on by the studio. While has been acting for some time in such projects as Galavant, The Neighbors, and No Tomorrow, Cena became famous as a professional wrestler before leaping from the wrestling arena to the big screen recently.

Indiana Jones 5

David Koepp says that Shia LaBeouf will not be reprising the role of Mutt Williams for Indiana Jones 5. The screenwriter broke the news while speaking to Entertainment Weekly, flatly saying that the “Shia LaBeouf character is not in the film.” LaBeouf’s performances was one of many elements of the last installment of the series that was roundly criticized by viewers.


Sony Pictures is said to be interested in having Spike Lee direct the studio’s planned Spider-Man spin-off Nightwatch.

Matt Smith expresses interest in playing a role in a film or TV show for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Midwinter Break

John Crowley will direct the film adaptation of the novel Midwinter Break.
