Trial By Fire, A Christmas StoryHellboy, and other films and TV shows have made recent casting news.

Milla Jovovich is in the midst of completing talks to act in Neil Marshall’s planned reboot of Hellboy. Originally subtitled Rise of The Blood Queen, the production excised the name recently, with the project simply being referred to as Hellboy until a suitable replacement is found. If Jovovich joins the film, she will play the villainous Blood Queen against lead David Harbour. She has previously appeared in such productions as The Fifth Element and the Resident Evil series.

A Christmas Story

Maya Rudolph has been added to the cast of Fox’s upcoming live TV adaptation of A Christmas Story. A veteran of Saturday Night Live, Rudolph will play the role of Ralphie Parker’s mother on the production. The live broadcast, which is set to last three hours, will draw inspiration from the beloved 1983 film as well as the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical adaptation.
