Agents of SHIELD

ABC announced today that it has decided to move the debut of Agents of SHIELD‘s fifth season forward. Initially, the network planned to start airing the next installment of the program in January 2018, but company Chief Channing Dungey said that it will premiere after Inhumans wraps up. This means Agents could arrive as early as November of this year.

Lucy And Desi

Amazon Studios has obtained the rights to produce and distribute the planned showbiz drama Lucy And Desi. Written by Aaron Sorkin, the planned program will tell the story of I Love Lucy stars and real life  couple Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, with Cate Blanchett set to play Ball.

Greenleaf

The Oprah Winfrey Network has decided to go ahead and renew its church drama Greenleaf for an additional third season. Starring Merle Dandrige and Keith David, the series revolves around a Memphis megachurch beset by the schemes and machinations of its leadership.

Film Stars Don’t Die In Liverpool

Sony Pictures acquires distribution rights for Annette Benning’s film Film Stars Don’t Die In Liverpool.

Western

Cinema Guild will distribute the upcoming thriller Western.
