FilmBook is Looking for Film Critics / Movie Journalists for 2016 & 2017

The fall film release, film festival, convention, and awards season has begun. FilmBook will be covering as much of it as possible. To that end, we are searching for new movie critics and movie news writers to facilitate our increased film industry coverage. This is your opportunity to join the FilmBook team.

These are the news areas and writing opportunities (mainstream, independent, and comic book films) that we are currently looking to be covered:

In-theater Movie Reviews
New Movie Announcements Articles
Film Casting Articles
Film Production Development Articles
Movie Photos Articles
Movie Trailers Articles
Entertaining List Articles
Polls Articles
Editorials
Weekly Columns

Consistency is key. Dedication is what we are looking for in new writers (along with their ability effectively convey their thoughts to the reader). You must have the time to commit to writing on a regular basis Monday through Friday or Saturday through Sunday.

We are looking for film critics that can review the events of a new theatrical release, its actors, the film’s themes, and all the minutiae that made a film good, bad, mediocre, etc.

We are looking for fans of film (cinephiles) and the stories that it can tell. Are you that fan?

If you are interested in writing film reviews for FilmBook or writing movie specific articles, essay, and editorials, please fill out the quick-to-complete form below:

*Note: The submission form will be kept open until we have a significant number of applicants. We will notify all applicants personally via email if their submission has been successful within one (1) week of the submission form being closed.

These writing opportunities are unpaid but you will be given the ability to publish and expose your writing to millions of people worldwide who search for the latest reviews for in-theater films on the Internet.

Some reviewers will have the opportunity watch and review movies before they are released in theater via advanced screenings and screener links.

Press passes to film festivals and conventions through FilmBook will also be made available.

Writers will also be given the opportunity to promote their accomplishments and career (a short bio, your LinkedIn page, Tumblr account, Twitter feed, Blog, etc.) through their very own Author’s Box at the bottom of each review they publish on FilmBook. You will also be listed on our ‘About Us’ page.

If your application is successful and you prove yourself to be a consistent and steady writer, you will be given the opportunity to write and cover additional areas within FilmBook not listed in this writers notice.

Any and all questions regarding this writing opportunity may be broached below in the comments section. They will addressed and answered in a timely fashion.
