The Killing Room Movie Trailer is a psychological thriller that will instantly remind you of aspects of the first SAW film along with any rat in a cage films you might have seen. The Killing Room is directed by Jonathan Liebesman and starring Chloë SevignyNick Cannon, Peter Stormare and Timothy Hutton. The Killing Room plot synopsis: “Four individuals sign up for a psychological research study only to discover that they are now subjects of a brutal, modern version of the Project MK-ULTRA indoctrination program.” Sounds fairly interesting. The Killing Room is scheduled to be released  STV on October 13, 2009.

Rented this at Blockbuster recently (“Blockbuster Exclusive”) against my better judgement and was very surprised. The performances are pretty strong and the initiating circumstance for the premise actually made me jump – which has not happened in years. Overall a pretty good film and much better than the majority of “thrillers” out there. Would be an excellent stage play set in the round. Though not terribly violent (there is some slight gore and blood), i would call it a thinking person's “Hostel”.

  • I have seen the film four or five times already.

I agree. Much better than the majority of thrillers out there. It had a better score than I was expecting as well.

A thinking person's Hostel, never thought of this film in that way.
