FRIGHT NIGHT (2011) Movie Trailer: Craig Gillespie, Colin Farrell

Colin Farrell, Fright Night (2011)

The Fright Night Movie Trailer has premiered. Craig Gillespie‘s Fright Night (2011) stars Colin Farrell, David Tennant, Anton Yelchin, Toni Collette, and Imogen Poots. Fright Night (2011)’s plot synopsis: a remake of Todd Holland 1985 teen vampire horror/comedy of the same name, “Senior Charlie Brewster (Anton Yelchin) finally has it all—he’s running with the popular crowd and dating the hottest girl in high school. In fact, he’s so cool he’s even dissing his best friend Ed (Christopher Mintz-Plasse). But trouble arrives when an intriguing stranger Jerry (Colin Farrell) moves in next door. He seems like a great guy at first, but there’s something not quite right—and everyone, including Charlie’s mom (Toni Collette), doesn’t notice. After witnessing some very unusual activity, Charlie comes to an unmistakable conclusion: Jerry is a vampire preying on his neighborhood. Unable to convince anyone that he’s telling the truth, Charlie has to find a way to get rid of the monster himself in this Craig Gillespie-helmed revamp of the comedy-horror classic.”

Too bad this film is going to be in 3D (so I hear). Does this film really need to be in 3D? Will it really make it more effective? Doubtful. Also, the viewer will instantly think of Disturbia while watching this movie trailer, it “borrows” many, many elements from that Shia LaBeouf film. Fright Night also stars Reid Ewing, Tina Borek, Emily Montague, Chelsea Tavares, Will Denton, Grace Phipps, Charlie B. Brown, Cliff Gravel, and Eriks Alfons Hausmanis. Watch the Fright Night movie trailer below and leave your thoughts on it. Fright Night will be released in US theaters on August 19, 2011.
