G.I. JOE 2: COBRA STRIKES: Joseph Gordon-Levitt not in 2012 Sequel

Joseph Gordon-Levitt, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is not in G.I. Joe 2: Cobra Strikes, the sequel to G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s 2012 schedule was speculated for some time to involve him shooting The Dark Knight Rises and other films, preventing him from appearing in G.I. Joe 2: Cobra StrikesSienna Miller will not be returning for G.I. Joe 2: Cobra Strikes either. Rachel Nichols, in this post: G.I. JOE 2: Channing Tatum, Byung-hun Lee, Ray Park Return, announced that Duke (Channing Tatum), Storm Shadow (Byung-hun Lee), Snake Eyes (Ray Park) will be the only returning G.I. Joe team members for Jon Chu‘s 2012 G.I. Joe film. Jon Chu has insisted that “we’re really trying to break it down and take the shine off and show that [his] Joes [are] the ones in the mud, the sand and the trees and in…epic worldwide adventures.” Can that grit be present in a bloodless, PG-13 movie? It was in Batman Begins but that was Batman Begins.

Since Cobra Commander will most-likely be garbed in his idiotic glass mask from the end of G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, Joseph Gordon-Levitt missing presence underneath the costume will be minmum. G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra actually exceeded our prediction for G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra going well, written about in this G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra Movie Review. The 6 things G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra Needs to Succeed were not exactly present in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra but possibly some will be in the sequel. G.I. Joe 2: Cobra Strikes is scheduled for release in US theaters on August 10, 2012. What do you think of Joseph Gordon-Levitt not reprising his role as Cobra Commander in the G.I. Joe sequel?
