GAME OF THRONES: Season 3 TV Show Teaser Trailer, Poster

Game of Thrones Season 3 Trailer, Poster. The Game of Thrones: Season 3 TV show teaser trailer, TV show poster for the HBO show have been released. The trailer has a woman speaking but I can’t recognize the voice. Since she is speaking of Fire and Ice, I am thinking that it is Melisandra (Carice van Houten). The woman says: “The great war is between death and life, ice and fire.  If we lose, the night will never end”. That has to be the red priestess. What do you think?

We previously published the Game of Thrones: Season 3: 12 New Characters List and the Game of Thrones: Season 3: 14 New Characters, Actors List, Premiere Date.

Other guesses on who the speaker of the line of dialogue is:

Personally, my first guess was Selyse (Florent) Baratheon (Tara Fitzgerald) because who else could it be?  It’s not Melisandre (not her accent), but it does sound prophetic.  Quaithe from the Shadow Lands maybe?  You know, the priestess of Asshai?  Still nothing?  Right, the lady with iron mask.

On what the line of dialogue means:

There’s really not much to read into with the graphic itself, but the words: “The great war is between death and life, ice and fire.  If we lose, the night will never end” seem to put a particular focus not on the messy politics of the prior season (that are such a driving force of the book series) but on the likely inevitable horror of the White Walkers / Others as they descend from beyond the Wall.

The TV series has always played up the Whites more than the books as far as inserting extra scenes and keeping them relevant in the current zombie-obsessed culture.

Season 3 of Game of Thrones will be based on the novel A Storm of Swords, the third book in George R.R. Martin‘s A Song of Ice and Fire series.
