GAME OF THRONES: Season 6 TV Show Trailer: Revenge, Warfare, & Jon Snow [HBO]

Emilia Clarke Game of Thrones Season 6

Games of Thrones Season 6 Promo. HBO‘s Game of Thrones: Season 6 TV show trailer stars Peter Dinklage, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, and Aidan Gillen. Game of Thrones: Season 6’s plot synopsis: “In contrast to the previous seasons, it largely consists of original content not found in George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series, but also adapts material from the upcoming sixth novel in the series, The Winds of Winter, as well as some content from the fourth and fifth novels, A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons.”

I, like many people, had been waiting to see this trailer and was not disappointed. There were a few too many spoilers in trailer for my liking regarding Sansa Stark (disheveled one moment, looking clean and like a princess in the next) and Daenerys Targaryen (the idiotic part with the ring from Mother’s Mercy, literally picked up again by one of the people searching for her). I did like what they did with Jon Snow and his corpse. It has been suggested that Ser Davos and some Brothers of the Night’s Watch are protecting Jon Snow’s body at the end of the trailer. After reading that and looking at that segment of the trailer again, I believe that is the case. The longer Jon is dead, the greater the chance that he could be turned by The Others into a Wight. The other Brothers, including those that killed Snow, know this and probably want to burn his body before that happens.

If that happens, he can’t be brought back from the dead, hence the protection detail.

I knew Cersi would get her revenge on the religious people that persecuted her. Seeing her use The Mountain That Rides as her instrument will be a bloody mess (poor Lancel).

The music in the trailer is James Vincent McMorrow‘s “Wicked Game.”
