GHOST IN THE SHELL (2017): First Teaser Debuts Ahead of Full Trailer

Scarlett Johansson Ghost in the Shell Teaser

Ghost in the Shell Releases Teaser Ahead of Full Trailer

Fans will soon get the full trailer of Ghost in the Shell sometime this weekend. To help us prepare for what we are about to see, the live-action adaptation gives us a tease of footage showing Scarlett Johansson kicking butt in a scene taken straight out of the anime.

We won’t be seeing a full trailer of Rupert Sanders’ big screen adaptation of the classic manga series until this weekend, but at least we can get a few seconds from the trailer. There isn’t much to go on as far as the teaser goes, but we do get a glance at Scarlett Johansson as The Major, fighting against a criminal while she’s invisible. For those who have watched the anime, that scene is reminiscent to a moment in the anime that also shows The Major kicking ass in a similar fashion.

What do you guys think of the teaser? Ghost in the Shell also stars Pilou Asbaek, Michael Pitt, Takeshi Kitano, and Juliette Binoche. The film is scheduled to release on March 31, 2017.
