GHOSTS OF WAR (2018): Theo Rossi Signs On To War Thriller

Theo Rossi

Theo Rossi Set To Co-Star In Ghosts Of War

Sons of Anarchy veteran Theo Rossi is slated to play a leading role in director Eric Bress’s supernatural war film Ghosts of War.

Of course, Rossi is no stranger to genre film and television. Aside from playing ex-Son of Anarchy Juice Ortiz on the aforementioned FX series, Rossi is also known for appearing as Hernan “Shades” Alvarez in Netflix‘s original TV adaptation of Marvel‘s Luke Cage comics. It’s not quite horror, but it’s out there enough for Rossi to have some experience playing characters who inhabit a heightened reality.

So far, the only other actors announced for the project so far are Brenton Thwaites and Skylar Astin. Thwaites previously appeared in Maleficent and The Giver, while Astin had roles in Wreck-It Ralph and the Pitch Perfect series.

Deadline, the source of this story, provides the following synopsis of the movie’s plot as well as information about the financing behind it:

The pic revolves around five battle-hardened American soldiers assigned to hold a French chateau near the end of World War II. Formerly occupied by the Nazi high command, this respite quickly descends into madness when they encounter a supernatural enemy far more terrifying than anything seen on the battlefield. Rossi will play Kirk, a God-fearing solider who has no problem killing Nazis but faces inexplicable paranormal events that make him tweaked and unhinged.

Miscellaneous is financing the project, while Adrian Jayasinha is exec producing. Highland Film Group is handling international sales.
