GODS OF EGYPT (2016) Movie Trailer 2: Gerard Butler in Alex Proyas Fantasy

Gerard Butler Gods Of Egypt

Gods Of Egypt Movie Trailer. Alex Proyas‘ Gods of Egypt (2016) movie trailer 2 stars Gerard Butler, Nicolaj Coster-Waldau, and Brenton ThwaitesGods of Egypt‘s plot synopsis: “A common thief joins a mythical god on a quest through Egypt.”

I used to get frustrated at Alex Proyas and his strange filmography. While some of his work is spectacular, and you can really tell how much talent and potential he has – some of his films really derail that enthusiasm and leave you feeling dissuaded, and sad. For every Dark City (1998), there’s a – well, there’s a Gods of Egypt.

We previously reported on this film when the posters came out, then wrote about the initial trailer. Well, today we have a second trailer for Proyas’ latest. Take a look at it below and chime in. Thoughts?

According to Slashfilm, “If nothing else, this trailer is at least better at laying out the plot. Egypt has gone from awesome to terrible, and it’s all Gerard Butler (Set)’s fault; it’s up to Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Horus) and Brenton Thwaites (Bek) to stop him. Simple enough. All that extra stuff from the first trailer, about magical eyes and whatnot, can wait. The tone also looks a bit more evenhanded this time around, though it comes at the expense of some of the humor that shone through in the first trailer.”
