Sally Hawkins and Charles Dance are the latest actors to join the cast of Godzilla: King of the Monsters.

Hawkins, who is set to reprise her role from the previous Godzilla film as Dr. Vivienne Graham, earned an Academy Award nomination for her supporting role in Blue Jasmine. Dance, on the other hand, is a newcomer to the developing franchise and probably best known for portraying Tywin Lannister on Game of Thrones. His role in the film is unknown at this point.

The two actors join a cast that includes such names as Vera Farmiga, Millie Bobby Brown, Kyle Chandler, O’Shea Jackson Jr., and Ken Watanabe, who will be reprising his role as Dr. Serizawa from the first film. Michael Dougherty will be taking over director duties from Gareth Edwards for the sequel.

Superherohype, the source of this story, shares the following information about the upcoming film:

Dougherty is also writing King of the Monsters, which has not yet revealed official plot details. Legendary previously announced, however, the addition of several more famous Toho kaiju, including Rodan, Mothra, and King Ghidorah.

King of the Monsters is part of the Legendary and Warner Bros. cinematic Monsterverse, which includes, in addition to Godzilla and the recent Kong: Skull Island, an upcoming Godzilla vs Kong feature film, set for a May 22, 2020 release.
