GOTHAM: Vicki Vale Being Added for Season Three [Fox]

Vicky Vale Bruce Wayne Comics

Vicki Vale Coming to Gotham for Third Season. Vicki Vale is coming to Gotham when the Fox series returns this fall. Bruce Wayne’s one-time love interest is making her television debut for Gotham’s third season, however she will be a much different version from the comics and film.

TVLine confirmed reports that the role of Vicki Vale would be a recurring role for the Batman prequel series. In the comics, Vicki was introduced as a reporter for the Gotham Gazette and had a romantic on-off relationship with Bruce Wayne. The show will be going in a different direction with the character as her description calls for somebody much older than David Mazouz’s Bruce Wayne, who is only 15 years old on the show.

The first time Vicki appeared on screen was in Tim Burton’s Batman in 1989. She was being played by Kim Basinger. Other appearances include the animated series and film Batman: The Brave and the Bold and Batman: Year One. Vicki also appeared in video games like DC Universe Online and Batman: Arkham City.

Besides Vicki Vale, Gotham is also in search of a villain who “learns people’s secrets and manipulates them to do his bidding”. The show is also looking to cast a younger villainess who “We uses her sexuality to entrap men.”
