Sylvester Stallone Stakar

Sylvester Stallone Playing Stakar in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

We knew for a while now that Sylvester Stallone was going to appear in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. No one knew what kind of role he would be playing, but a recent character description made it’s way online and it’s connected to an important Marvel character.

As the press gets a chance to see Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in all it’s glory, production notes (via ComicBookMovie in the movie have leaked online. Even though we get some big reveals from Peter Quinn’s (Chris Pratt) mysterious background, the biggest reveal was when Sylvester Stallone gets to play the character of Stakar, someone who was better known as Stakhawk. This character does have a history with both the Ravagers and the Guardians of the Galaxy in the comic books, so it does make sense that he would be appearing in the film.

Being a respected Ravager, Stakar isn’t much of a fan of his comrade Yondu (Michael Rooker). After banishing him for years after a disagreement, Yondu makes a return. We have no idea If there two guys will fight it out, but their establishment is known to settle quarrels, just like this one. It will be interesting to see Stakar interacting with the rest of the team. Perhaps he’s about to change during their meeting in the film. What do you guys think of this latest development?
